MPG Finder

About MPG Finder

MPG Finder was created to make fuel economy information simple, transparent, and genuinely helpful. Shoppers often bounce between manufacturer brochures, review sites, and official databases when researching a vehicle’s real efficiency. We bring the most trusted sources together, clarify the terminology, and provide clean comparisons so you can choose a car with confidence.

What We Do

Our platform aggregates official fuel-economy data and normalizes it for side-by-side comparison. You can filter by make, model, and year; sort by city, highway, or combined MPG; and scan fuel type and estimated CO₂ output. We focus on clarity and relevance—showing just the metrics that help you make a decision without unnecessary noise.

Where the Data Comes From

MPG ratings are derived from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) fuel economy dataset. For electric vehicles, we display MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent) to reflect electrical energy use in a way that’s comparable to gasoline. While we present official ratings, real-world results vary with driving style, load, climate, and maintenance. We encourage users to read our guides about how MPG is measured and how to improve real-world efficiency.

How We Compare Vehicles

Vehicles are grouped by make and model, and you can drill into specific years to understand how technology and powertrain options impacted efficiency over time. Our goal is to provide a neutral, data-first view of fuel economy that helps you narrow choices before heading to a test drive.

Our Mission

We believe that informed choices lead to lower ownership costs and a smaller environmental footprint. By making fuel-efficiency research fast and trustworthy, we hope to support drivers, families, and fleets in picking vehicles that match their needs while using less energy.
